Great interviews start with great guests, and since you’re here, we’ve got that first part down.

And, of course, we need a show. So let’s talk about that.

Open Square’s podcast helps listeners understand what it’s like building something in an American post-industrial city. The focus is on giving a ton of value to help folks learn from how you’ve build your business or organization and apply that knowledge to their own situations.

That’s why the more transparent you can be about exact tactics and strategies you’ve used, what worked and what didn’t, the more they’ll love you and enjoy our episode. Really I want to show what real people trying to make real things happen go through and grow through.

We’ll lead with a pre-recorded intro and then dive into the interview. It will be very conversational about your business’ story and experience growing your business but some specific questions may come up. Depending on how the conversation flows, I could ask any of the following (so it’s good to have an answer prepared):

  • Why do you do what you do?
  • What has been your company’s biggest success?
  • What impact do you want your work to have?
  • Does your company/organization want to grow or are you happy at your current size? If you want to grow, what is your vision for 5, 10 years down the road?
  • What influenced the company/organization most when it came to achieving the reach you have today?
  • What’s your top tip for other small businesses? What’s one thing you wish you could do over and how would you do it better this time?

I’ll finish up with where people can find you online, your website and best social media sites. These links will be shared in the podcast writeup including any resources, products or sites we discussed during the interview.
